Sports: Lionel Messi injured after Barcelona's victory against Sevilla

Barcelona fc have confirmed that Lionel Messi has picked up a nasty injury during their victory over rivals Sevilla on Saturday night. Barcelona further disclosed that Messi fractured his radial bone in his right arm and would be out for approximately three weeks. Barcelona won the match by 4 goals to 2 which Messi  scored the second goal of the night for Barcelona in the 12th minute before he picked up the injury and was forced to withdraw in the 26th minute.

Luke Shaw signs new five year Manchester United contract worth £190,000 a week

  Luke Shaw has signed a new five-year contract at Manchester United worth around £190,000 ($250,000) a week. The club confirmed the improved terms for the England left-back on Thursday, and the new deal makes him one of the Premier League’s highest-earning defenders. Shaw’s existing contract was due to expire at the end of the 2018-19 season after United had taken up their one-year option on his initial four-year deal, but the club have moved to tie the 23-year-old down for the longer term, with the option again included to keep him for an extra 12 months. The news completes a significant turnaround in Shaw’s fortunes at United after a turbulent last few years with the club. Ajibade, Oparanozie headline Super Falcons invitees for the Africa Women Cup of Nations

  The coach of the super falcons, Thomas Dennerby has invited 48 players for the African women's cup of nations which is scheduled to hold in Ghana.  The list which was released on Wednesday comprised of 29 local based players and 19 foreign professionals.  All invited players are to report at Jubilee Chalets,  Epe town on Thursday.  The super falcons would be hoping to defend the title which they won two years ago in Cameroon. The draw holds on Sunday October 21, and the competition commences on November 17, 2018.
